When God Put You In A Season
Ecclesiastes 3 mentions that in our human life, there are many
seasons that we have gone through in our lives and will go through in the
future. There are season of joy, season to work hard, season to be successful,
season to build our lives. But there are also seasons when we will experience
hardship, lost, disappointment, and weep.
What season are you in right now? Are you in a season of joy or
are you in a season of weeping? Whatever you are right now, you must know that
either of this season has the same characteristic, they don’t last forever.
That is why it is called a season.
When we are in a good comforting season with full of joy and
abundant, we always want this to last as long as it can be. But we do not want
to dwell even for one day on the season which gives us a discomfort. Therefore
in this week sharing, I would like to focus on the season which none of us
like, which is a season of sorrow.
When God allows us to be in a season of weeping, fear, and
discouragement we want it to be ended as soon as possible. No human wants to
endure hardship for a long time especially if this will only give us bad
memories. The length of the season varies from one person to another and from
one season to another. Sometimes it ends quite quickly, but many times it has
to go to the worst before it gets better. This difficult season that we may
experience can be because of our wrong doing or by external cause that we didn’t
know or anticipate. These external causes could be an attack from our enemy who
wants to stop us from progressing to the next level of our spiritual walk with
God. Nevertheless we need to be strong in our faith to God so we can go through
this together with Him until the end.
Based on my personal experience with the seasons that I have gone
through, I can summarise the important things that we should know if we are in
a difficult season in our lives:
1. Your basic foundation must be His love for you.
Regardless anything that happened in your life right now, know
that He loves you passionately. Be firm in your mind that He will never leave
you or forsake you in whatever you are going through.
(Hebrews 13:5 (TPT): …For
hasn’t he promised you, “I will never leave you alone, never!
And I will not loosen my grip on your
life!”
2. Understand that you are not alone going through this.
Sometimes knowing that we are not the only one who experience
season of sorrow seems to enlight our burden. Our brothers and sisters in
Christ also have and will be put in a season in their journey with God. This is
one of the way that God uses to enlarge our capacity, increase our faith and
keeping our trust in Him. Try to open your eyes and ears to your surroundings.
You will hear that people around you are also going through some tough times or
even much worse than what you are currently experiencing. That way you may feel
grateful to God that you are not in the worst situation.
3. Surround yourself in Godly environment.
People around you is very important to determine how far you can
go to reach your destiny. Every seasons that God allows you to enter is part of
the journey to reach your destiny. You need to surround yourself with people
who can help you to reach the destination of where God initially planned for
you. God has planned a great end line in your life. But it is you who are
walking on it. You cannot make it to the end line victoriously alone. People
you need in your life is your pastors, spiritual leaders, families who loves
you, church family, and your friends who will always pray and support you all
the way to the end line. Make sure you have them secured in your life.
4. Your reward is waiting when it is all over
Blessed is the one who perseveres
under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown
of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. – James 1: 12 (NIV)
Our
God is a God who loves to reward us. He doesn’t let us suffer then leave us
alone in the end. He wants to spoil us with His kindness. Believe that after
your season ends, not only you are out of it, but God will reward you with
things that you never anticipated. I experienced a lot of things when I finally
out from my season, He couldn’t wait to pour me His abundant blessings beyond
that I could imagine.
Therefore
I want to encourage to all of you who read my blog, stay faithful in Him when
you are put in a season. Stay close with the people who loves you and who will always
pray for you. You need them to accompany you to finish the season. And lastly, remember
always that our heavenly Father will crown you with huge reward once you are
done with the season.
Thank
you for reading my blog and I hope you are encouraged.

The same with Merry, I'm also very confident to say that God never fail to reward us once we are done with the season. Just make sure we don't waste every precious lesson from every season that's supposed to make us more humble.
