Experiencing God's Love

But I am like an olive tree, flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love, for ever and ever – Psalm 52:8

This week's blog is a testimony of how I experienced God's love in my life. I love how He helped me in a wonderful miraculous way and delivered me from all my trouble in just in time. He is never too late in helping us.

In December 2017 I finally got a full time job. Since I have my children, this was my first full time job, thinking that my children were big enough for me to come back to work and help the family’s finance. The first couple of months working in my new work was good, because I started my job in early December. In Australia, the longest school holiday was from early December to end January. So I didn’t have to take my children to school and I got my mom to look after my children during this period.

Problem started when Faith went back to school (Hanniel has not gone to school yet). Let me explain how difficult it was. The school hours in Australia is 09.00-15.00. The normal business working hours is around 8.00-17.00. And now the location of her school is not near public transport at all. The closest train station (Wolli Creek Station) is around 8 mins drive to her school. For us to take faith to school and pick her up, we need a car. But the problem was both Rical and I couldn’t drive to our workplace. In City of Sydney, most workers must catch public transport to work. We don’t have free parking space in the city. So I had to catch a public transport in the morning to work and in the afternoon I need to catch a train to Wolli Creek Station to pick up Faith. But I need a car to be able to pick her up from school.

Now, the area of the train station is full of blocks of apartments. I got an idea to search for a parking space for rent in those apartments around Wolli Creek Station so we can park our car there. The plan was I started my work early and my husband started to work later so he can drop Hanniel to child care and Faith to school in the morning, then he parked the car in the parking space and left for work. In the afternoon I will come and get the car from the car park then pick the children up. It sounded like a perfect plan for us.

When I found the car park for rent I was very happy. However we forgot something. The owner of the parking space only gave us 1 remote. Rical would need the remote to enter the parking space in the morning. In the afternoon I need also the remote to enter the parking building. Unfortunately Rical’s work location is very far from mine and he couldn’t meet me to hand in the remote.

Up until the school started I still couldn’t figure out on how we could achieve this. I was too tired to think how to make it work.

One week before the school started I read a book of Joseph Prince with the title ‘The Power of the Right Believing” and in one section Ps Prince challenged his readers to meditate on God’s love for us. Just focus on receiving His love for us in the midst of the trouble.

So I just kept declaring His love for me and my family. I didn’t know how to resolve this matter. When I finally found a parking space to help us moving easily, I got stuck with the parking remote!

On the first day of school, I received a surprise from the school admin lady who happen to be my friend. She already knows my situation because I shared my struggles with her earlier. She rang me and told me that when she greeted new kindergarten students with their parents, she chatted with one of the parents and found out that the parents live in Wolli Creek. With her own initiative, she then asked the parent if he can help me by lending me his letter box key. Her idea was if I keep the letter box key with me, Rical can drop the remote into his letter box, and in the afternoon I can open the letter box with the key.

Such a complicated process which I couldn’t even think but my friend could think that way! And to add to my amazement, this lovely parent agreed to lend his letter box key to us even though he didn’t know us at all. He could be afraid that I might steal his letters but he just trusted us. It was surely the favour of God to us in helping us to get going.

Now, another concern, when my friend called me and delivered the good news, I was thinking hm…how many apartments blocks are there in Wolli Creek? There are a lot of apartment blocks there. More than 100 I guess. So I was thinking what if the parent’s apartment’s location is far away from my rental car park? Because the walking distance from one apartment block to another could be as long as 20 mins walk! But I just couldn’t be bothered to think too much. I just thought just take this option to get me out of the trouble.

However I couldn’t believe myself when I found out that parent’s apartment was located exactly the same place with my rental car park! For me this was not a small matter at all. This was a miracle for me. God Himself helped us in our trouble. He worked through good people around me. I am very grateful to have a loving Father in heaven who cares for me and He cares to sort out my little problems.

I know that this is such a complicated story, but this has been one of my favourite testimonies that I love to share to people.

I hope you are blessed reading my sharing.
